Non-Waiting
Observing our own anxious states—such as fear, anger, and sadness—without any expectation should be considered the true masterpiece we can offer ourselves.
Looking at discomfort with the sole purpose of driving it away, or in the hope of improvement, will only worsen the present situation.
The same applies to the physical body: we all want to recover quickly from a headache, and that is understandable. Yet it is the mental attitude that makes the difference.
If I know I am not the illness, I can look at what is happening with the right detachment, free from the endless churning of thoughts.
Not waiting for the result sets us free, activating an inner process that accelerates the improvement of our physical condition.
The absence of expectation is already part of healing.
As the old saying goes:
“Without intention, the sage reaches the goal.”
